The End of Summer
While the equinox is officially a few weeks away I feel that Labor Day Weekend more effectively marks the end of summer. If you go to school, if you aren't back in classes yet, come Tuesday you will be. The air is getting crisper, even if we still have a few days of blistering heat randomly interspersed with the prospect of fall. People are thinking of leaves and apples and football. Not yet quite worrying about the winter to come and just starting to miss the summer that's gone.
As a last hurrah to summer I give you the official list of your favorite summer reads, as compiled from my 50th post competition. While some of these books I already hold dear to my heart, as your posts have shown you do as well...I now have some new books to read and perhaps keep me warm and thinking of summer in the chilly months ahead.
