An Urban Development
If you're an urban fantasy fan like me you tend to pick up a lot of random books from daily Kindle deals. These aren't the big names, these aren't Briggs or Butcher or Harrison or Harris, not that they aren't as good as these authors. They're just authors that don't get much exposure and are rarely picked up by the average urban fantasy fan. But if they are picked up and loved, well, they develop just as big a following as the big names in the genre. It's just that it's a niche group, usually on Facebook, who get exclusive newsletters and content. Personally I think these authors deserve more props for toiling away for their devoted fanbases instead of garnering critical acclaim. Not saying it won't happen. Just saying it hasn't happened yet. For some of them. So I have randomly picked a handful of authors whose work I have bought over the years but haven't gotten around to reading yet to see if they could be my next favorite Urban Fantasy author. Are their series worth reading? We shall find out.
