    My favorite character is the existential lift that doesn't want to go up because it's afraid of the future.

    I used to own several of these books, but loaned them out and never got them back. And I don't believe I ever read the fifth book in the trilogy, "Mostly Harmless." So I'm very excited about the possibility of winning the set!

    Hi, I would love to enter. I followed a link from Book Nazi, glad I did. Just joined as a follower. Favourite character: Marvin the paranoid android. I will link on my blog The Genteel Arsenal but I will come back and give you the link when I do it. I have a really old set of these books and they are falling apart. Thanks.
    I notice we share some favourite authors, like; Pratchett, Neil Gaiman and Stephen Fry.

    My favorite HHGG character is God from book 4 of the Trilogy. I cried when I got to the part where his final message to his creation was revealed.

    I have other favorites though like Eccentrica Gallumbits, the hyperintelligent shade of blue and Marvin the android. Love the books to bits! =)

    I'm not entering, because I know the contest is already over, and because I own the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide, which compiles them all, but I had to comment this:
    1) Greaaaaaaaaaat contest
    2) RAUL JULIA!!!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE John Astin, and you can't fault the original, but there was just something about Raul Julia. He was fantastic (they both were)
